One day hike toure to Oniore waterfall

Known locally as the region of canyons, caves, and waterfalls Martvili Municipality in Samegrelo is renowned for its ancient history and the diversity of its landscapes. Some of its most popular landmarks include the Oniore Waterfall. Oniore waterfall is a 67-meter-high waterfall in Samegrelo, Martvil municipality, northeast of the village of Balda. 

We will start our adventure at the Balda Monastery, which is an 18th-century monument. At the beginning of our hike, we will encounter a small waterfall, “Kaghu” hidden in the green.

While hiking on the trail, we will pass old, ruined shepherds' houses. After three hours of the hike on our way to the Oniore waterfall, we will have a chance to rest in a small shepherd’s house that is located on the beautiful panoramic landscape, and if we are lucky, we will be able to taste mountain local cheese, which is one of the best in the country.

After 30 30-minute walk from the shepherd’s house, we will see the highest waterfall in Georgia, the 234-meter Toba cascade waterfall. The last section of this hike is fairly difficult, but the reward is worth it. We arrive at the "Oniore" waterfall.

 Itinerary

- Pick-up at an agreed place   

- Visit the Balda Monastery complex and “Kahgu” waterfall  

- Have lunch at shepherd’s house  

- Visit the highest cascade waterfall in Georgia 234 Meter  

- Climb to towers which are dedicated to bird-watching  

- visit “Oniore” waterfall 

- Return to the village

You'll travel in a Honda CRV, which provides both comfort and convenience. The vehicle features four passenger seats and plenty of space for luggage.
